It seems Punjab is geared to play the longest yard. In round one, they scored a total of 426 runs and won by 10 wickets. Some of the stalwarts of the group are Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Shubman Gill, Anmolpreet Singh, Mayank Markande, and Siddharth Kaul. They are A list players in India.

As for Haryana, their powerful weapon was skipper Harshal Patel. In the first innings, he took four wickets, when Maharashtra was 247. In the second innings, he added two more wickets to his grand total. This is one of the factors to bump up Haryana team’s points. After a good match, Haryana scored 401 and won by 10 wickets.

Odisha and Chandigarh put up a good fight. Odisha won 36 runs and 10 wickets; the team scored a total of 215 against Chhattisgarh. As for Chandigarh, the team procured a whopping 503 runs and won by 2 wickets. They had a great game against Arunachal Pradesh.

If you look at Puducherry, the talented medium-pacer Vinay Kumar came out shining. He took four wickets for 57 runs against Bihar. This pushed his over wickets total to 401 in the Ranji Trophy.  He is now part of the elite club of bowlers, who have taken 400 wickets in this prestigious tournament.
