Gujarat vs Hyderabad Match Pitch Report

Although the teams chasing won the first four games at the Wankhede Stadium, the defending teams have won the last four matches. It doesn’t appear to be a great hunting ground for the spinners as they have bagged only 11 wickets in the last four games.

Power Players for Gujarat vs Hyderabad

Talk death bowling and T Natarajan tops the list. His ability to clean up the lower order with his full-length deliveries has been impeccable. Barring the Punjab match, he has picked up a two-wicket haul in every other game.

Hardik Pandya has got starts in every game till now and is also the third-highest run-getter (295 at 73.75) in this ongoing edition. By dumping a reckless approach, he has been able to bat for longer periods. With the ball, he has taken 4 wickets.

Smart Picks for Gujarat vs Hyderabad

Although Marco Jansen was picking a wicket in almost every game, his defining spell came against Bangalore as he got rid of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Anuj Rawat in his opening over. Once he gets the ball moving, he becomes a lethal prospect.

While Mohammad Shami has been brilliant with the new ball, Lockie Ferguson has been providing regular breakthroughs in the middle and slog overs. Between them, they have taken 19 wickets.

Abhishek Sharma has been given the license to throw his bat around in the powerplay. In the process, he has scored 220 runs at 31.43 in this edition.

After showing great promise in the initial stages of the tournament, runs have dried up for Shubman Gill (27 runs in the last 4 innings). However, it’s not to be forgotten that he isn’t struggling for form. Unfortunately, the opener has been finding weird ways to get out.

Aiden Markram’s ability to play as per the situation is what makes him a sensible pick in fantasy leagues. He has added 190 runs and has only been dismissed once this season.

Umran Malik has not only been quick but has also improved his accuracy over the past few games. He is likely to test Hardik Pandya and David Miller with some quick short deliveries. Watch out for the battle!

Rashid Khan might not be amongst the wickets in every game, but he generates bonus fantasy points with his economical bowling. With the bat too, he can be a handful.

Kane Williamson might have got only one half-century in seven innings thus far. However, if anybody can handle the quality of Gujarat bowling, it’s him. His ability to keep the scorecard ticking without doing anything silly often helps fantasy players.

Gujarat vs Hyderabad Match Preview

It’s the battle between the two in-form teams. Gujarat are sitting pretty at the top of the points table with only one defeat in seven games. On the other hand, Hyderabad are on a five-match winning streak with 10 points to their credit.

While both sides have a terrific bowling attack, Hyderabad’s middle-order appears to be slightly stronger than the debutants. Given the recent run of both sides, one can expect a cracker of a contest.
