Fantasy Cricket Team

We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.

Pitch Report

The average first and second innings scores at the Harare Sports Club read 164 and 154. Out of 24 wickets to fall in this series, 9 have belonged to the spinners.

Teams

Probable XI for Zimbabwe: Wesley Madhevere, Innocent Kaia, Craig Ervine (c), Sikandar Raza, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Regis Chakabva (wk), Ryan Burl, Luke Jongwe, Ainsley Ndlovu, Tendai Chatara, Donald Tiripano

Probable XI for Afghanistan: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Hazratullah Zazai, Usman Ghani, Darwish Rasooli, Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi (c), Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Khan, Karim Janat, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Nijat Masood

Players to watch out for

After scoring 44 in the first T20I, Najibullah Zadran followed it up with a blistering half-century in the second game as well. His boundary-hitting ability helps fantasy players with bonus points.

Sikandar Raza might not have taken any wickets but has generated handy fantasy points by scoring two consecutive 40s.

Hazratullah Zazai has been going hammer and tongs at the top with scores of 45 and 28. In the process, he has smashed 11 fours and 2 sixes.

Rashid Khan has not only been amongst the wickets regularly but has also been economical on this tour. In 15 T20 games against Zimbabwe, he has bagged 22 wickets.

Although Zimbabwe lost the last game, Innocent Kaia’s innings of 54 made the difference in fantasy leagues. Prior to this series, he also scored 118 runs in 3 ODIs.

Despite being a part-time bowler, Ryan Burl has 4 dismissals to his credit in 2 games and is the leading wicket-taker of the series. He can also be a useful contributor with the bat, lower down the order.

For Afghanistan, Nijat Masood is the highest wicket-taker. After his three-wicket haul in the opening T20I, he finished with figures of 4-0-29-1 in the second match.

Tendai Chatara did well to pick two wickets in the last game. The absence of Blessing Muzarabani would mean more responsibility on Chatara’s shoulders.

With 2 wickets and 68 runs till now, Mohammad Nabi has been helping fantasy players nudge ahead. His dual role makes him an ideal choice as a fantasy captain.

Match Preview

After being whitewashed in the ODI series, Zimbabwe face yet another potential 3-0 hammering in the T20Is too. On the other hand, Afghanistan have played as a cohesive unit and will be the overwhelming favourites to win their final game of the tour.
