Fantasy Cricket Team

We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.

Pitch Report

Going by what transpired in the recently concluded ODI series at the VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen, we can expect a decent batting wicket. In the same period, the average first and second innings scores read 254 and 251.

Teams

Probable XI for Netherlands: Vikramjit Singh, Max O’Dowd, Musa Ahmed, Bas de Leede, Teja Nidamanuru/Tom Cooper, Scott Edwards (wk), Pieter Seelaar (c), Logan van Beek, Aryan Dutt/Shane Snater, Ryan Klein, Vivian Kingma

Probable XI for England: Jason Roy, Jos Buttler (wk), Dawid Malan, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Eoin Morgan (c), Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, David Willey, Reece Topley, Brydon Carse

Power Players

We all know what Jos Buttler did in the recently concluded Indian T20 League. He will open the batting and his recent form could mean the ultimate destruction of the bowlers from Netherlands.

Max O’Dowd was the best batter on show for Netherlands against West Indies with scores of 89, 51, and 39. It will be interesting to see if he can continue his good form against England as well.

Eoin Morgan has collected 342 runs in his last 10 ODI innings. Against Netherlands, he has scores of 51 and 94.

Smart Picks

Vikramjit Singh too impressed with the bat against the West Indies. He scored 147 runs in three innings. Not too long ago, he also had scores of 25, 31, and 19 in the ODIs against New Zealand.

Netherlands will bank on the seamer Logan van Beek for regular breakthroughs. He has taken 11 wickets, including a four-wicket haul in his last 6 ODIs.

Scott Edwards has the experience to score important runs for his side. In his last 10 innings, he has collected 320 runs, including the highest score of 86. In the same period, he has also held onto 9 catches behind the stumps.

Adil Rashid has been the No.1 spinner for England in white-ball cricket for a few years. His variations will pose a challenge for the Netherlands batters.

Jason Roy can blow hot and cold. He has got only two half-centuries in his last 10 ODIs. However, he has the ability to feed on the inexperienced bowlers from Netherlands.

Liam Livingstone has played only three ODIs in his career thus far, but he has been bullying bowlers all over the world in the T20 format lately. In addition to his explosive batting, he has also picked 7 wickets in the England domestic T20.

Given the all-round abilities of Moeen Ali, he will always remain a hot pick in fantasy leagues. That said, he hasn’t scored over 30 runs in his last 10 ODI innings and has bagged only 4 wickets.

David Willey’s ability to swing and seam the ball should keep him interested in the powerplay. In his last two ODI series, he has bagged 17 wickets.

Match Preview

Netherlands come into this series on the back of receiving a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of the West Indies a few weeks ago. On the other hand, England will play their first ODI in almost a year. That said, expect nothing but sheer aggression from the formidable English side.
