We have opted for a fantasy cricket team based on the recent performances, overall impact, and credit points.
Three out of four games at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul have been won by the teams chasing. In the last game though, a score above 200 was scored by a team for the first time at the venue in this edition.
Probable XI for Dindigul: K Vishal Vaidhya, Hari Nishanth (c), Mani Bharathi (wk), R Vivek, RS Mokit Hariharan, Karaparambil Monish, AG Pradeep, VP Diran, Lakshminarayanan Vignesh, M Silambarasan, Rangaraj Suthesh
Playing XI for Madurai: V Aaditya, Arun Karthik (wk), Balchander Anirudh, NS Chaturved (c), Jagatheesan Kousik, Thalaivan Sargunam, Sunny Sandhu, Varun Chakravarthy, Kiran Akash, R Silambarasan, R Mithun
Kiran Akash is the leading wicket-taker in this tournament with 7 scalps in 3 games. His steady line and length has enabled him to finish his full quota of overs in every match.
With 7 catches behind the stumps and scores of 31, 38, and 106 in the last three games, Arun Karthik has been helping fantasy players nudge ahead. Given his recent run, he becomes a hot pick in the wicketkeeper category.
K Vishal Vaidhya is the leading run-getter (194 at 64) for his side this season. Amidst his consistent run-making, he has maintained a healthy strike rate of 140.
Varun Chakravarthy might have got plundered for 50 runs in the last game, but he remains a strike bowler for Madurai. His two-wicket haul against Chepauk earlier in the tournament was instrumental in helping his side get over the line.
Hari Nishanth has got starts in all four games till now. He also finished with figures of 2 for 13 in the last match against Tiruppur.
Dindigul have benefited from M Silambarasan’s tidy left-arm spin. He has bagged 5 wickets in four games, including best figures of 3 for 21 in the last match.
After being dismissed for a duck in the opening game of the season, NS Chaturved bounced back with scores of 75 and 27 in the last two games. He has also been generating bonus points by striking over 160.
Jagatheesan Kousik and Rajendran Vivek haven’t set the stage on fire as yet. That said, they are capable of generating fantasy points with both bat and ball.
Mani Bharathi can also be a useful pick in the wicketkeeper category. He added 32 fantasy points on the My11Circle platform in the game against Tiruppur.
While Dindigul have won two games and lost as many, Madurai have won two in three outings. In fact, their first loss of the season came in the last match against Nellai. Both Dindigul and Madurai will be meeting for the first time in this edition.
