Yashaswi Jaiswal – The left-hander was in record breaking mood in the last few months as he pummeled England in the Test series. He is likely to continue the same form in pink as well. Many have picked him as the contender for the Orange Cap in TATA IPL 2024.
Sanju Samson – The wicketkeeper batter got his maiden ODI century in December against South Africa and even began the TATA IPL 2024 well. The key, however, will be to retain this form throughout the tournament as in the past, Samson has been guilty of losing form as the tournament progresses.
Ravichandran Ashwin – The spinner recently reached the landmarks of 100 Tests and 500 Test wickets and would be keen to make TATA IPL 2024 special as well.

Squad Analysis of Rajasthan
Irrespective of the results in 2023, there is little doubt that the franchise possesses a fairly solid and balanced team where every base is covered. But no titles after the first season tells that there is still something that’s missing from the Rajasthan armory.
Strengths – The batting order looks quite intimidating with Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top with Sanju Samson to follow. There is not only a lot of explosive possibility but also a lot of experience and maturity. A huge chunk of runs in the tournament will come from the bat of these three who enjoy playing big T20 innings
Weaknesses – Rajasthan have placed a lot of faith in Riyan Parag’s abilities but haven’t been repaid in strong performances by the youngsters. Considering he occupies a fairly important position for the team in the middle order, it can become a problem if he doesn’t come good in another season of the league this year.
Dhruv Jurel shone bright last season with his cameos as Impact Player. However, his role would be bigger and expectations from him would be higher this year as he comes into the team after an impressive red ball debut for Team India.

Rajasthan stunned everyone in 2008 when they went from rank outsiders to trophy winners in the inaugural season of the Indian T20 League under the talismanic skipper Shane Warne. In the following seasons, they couldn’t replicate the feat of the first season but became a fan favorite for being a team that kept punching above their weight with little-known names. After Warne, the captaincy went to Rahul Dravid and the team performed decently under him, even making it to the playoffs in 2013. They, however, couldn’t proceed further. The team was banned from the league for two years and returned to the league with a different approach. They bought big names at the auction and doled out big sums of money to acquire star players but success still eluded them.
Ahead of the mega-auctions of 2022, the management showed great faith in the young and talented Sanju Samson and he with Kumara Sangakkara went on to build a fantastic team for the 2022 season. Although Samson led well and received great contributions from his spin twins of Ashwin and Chahal, it was the batting of Jos Buttler that dominated the headlines and even took the team to the final of the tournament. In just 17 matches, the English white ball captain scored 863 runs with four centuries and four half-centuries. However, in their second final appearance, Rajasthan failed to get past Gujarat and ended as the runners-up. In 2023, neither Buttler nor the team could recreate the previous season’s magic and finished outside of the top four, although Yashaswi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel had a season to remember. Ahead of TATA IPL 2024, the team didn’t make many changes to their squad and only added a few names in the auctions, most notably of West Indian power-hitter Rovman Powell and South African left-armer Nandre Burger.
